    3 X 5 1/2 Inch Paper Election Ticket "National Labor GREENBACK TICKET". From the 1st Congressional District of West Virginia, this ticket was for the election held on October 8, 1878. James Bassel, the Greenback candidate did not win, but incumbent Congressman Ben Wilson, who ran on the Democratic and People's Party Ticket was elected. Interestingly, Bassel also was supported by the People's Party that year who endorsed 3 different candidates for the seat . In addition to Wilson and Bassel, that party also suggested J.R. Hubbard. Paper ticket is in good condition but does have a small paper crease in the upper right hand corner. Buyer will pay for shipping.
